Biography
Michael P. D'Itri is Associate Dean and Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Dalton State College where he teaches classes in operations management, database systems, and integrated materials management. He has earned three degrees from Michigan State University. These are a B.S. degree is in Chemical Engineering, an M.B.A. in Management Science and a Ph.D. in Operations Management. Dr. D'Itri's primary research interests are in the area of production scheduling, with particular emphasis on the manufacture of paper. He has also done work on exchange rate risk management and other types of math modeling. He has co-authored articles that have appeared in the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, International Journal of Purchasing and Materials Management, and Competition Forum. Dr. D’Itri is a member of INFORMS and Kiwanis International.
